Unique! An adventurous experience simply on another level We've especially searched for a second ice cave experience, since we wanted to truly hike the glacier and *earn* us the blue ice cave views, instead of getting directly to the entrance by superjeep. The hike with Marcin truly delivered on and even exceeded our highest hopes. We've hiked for hours on pure ice, always guided safely but never rushed. It was also the very definition of a small group experience. Of course you should dress appropriately, be healthy and fit and bring ankle covering hiking shoes (!), but my partner and I are no experienced hikers nor runners and we were perfectly able to enjoy every step of the tour. Just spectacular! True blue ice adventure They say Iceland is the land of ice and fire and this trip was just a mix of these both things - ice, the most beautiful shade of blue I’ve seen in my life and fire - the whole experience. I’ve felt well taken care of from the very beginning - safe drive from the parking by the lagoon, detailed explanation what kind of gear are we taking with us and why, clear instructions how to put the crampons on, the whole hike and the more demanding walk just to the cave. Super professional and you can really feel that the guide cares about the safety of the group! Already the walk on the ice was an adventure itself - we learned how to deal with the hard winter ice, we’ve seen some amazing formations on the way and the main point of the tour was not even reached! IT WAS SPECTACULAR! I’ve seen blue ice caves on the pictures before, also on Ice Walkers website while researching which trip to book, and while you might think it might be photoshopped - it looks even more spectacular live! Just breathtaking! So impressive, the cave was bigger that I’ve expected, you could also crawl a bit to another chamber, which made this experience a real adventure! We spent some time in the cave, had a small lunch break - the coolest lunch spot ever, took tons of pictures - our guide Martin showed us the best spots. Ah, did I mentioned that we were the only group that was there? Whole cave just for us! Way back seemed way shorter and less demanding, we had a great time and even got the chance to see some more natural ice formations and took some more pictures there. I thought I’ve seen so many amazing views in Iceland, but this whole trip is my top experience so far! If you’re looking for an unique experience, far from the crowds, close to the nature and with top safety procedures - this is the address! Totally recommend Ice Walkers!

Ice Walkers Glacier Hike To A Remote Ice Cave From Jökulsárlón If you want the true, real experience in the depths of the glacier, Ice Walkers is the company to go with - especially the longer tour. I went with 4 of my friends & we did a lot of research into who to go with - we did not regret our decision one bit. The tour felt much more personal, which made it a lot more enjoyable & we were taken far further up the glacier than any of the other tours to get to a more beautiful natural forming ice cave! The walk up was incredible and we felt in very safe hands, with good laughs the entire time. I would say if you’re more adventurous this is the tour for you, but the walk uphill was still gradual so doable for almost anyone. Our guide went above & beyond to get us some really cool photos & knew the best places to take them. We were in awe of the natural formations of the glacier; this was certainly one of my highlights after 5 months of being in Iceland on exchange. It was a magnificent trip - thank you Ice Walkers.
